Bucked shortly after the start and near the 1100m the saddle shifted forward, placing it at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race and taking no competitive part. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer K. Lees was advised that the horse must trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to racing again.
