Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out abruptly contacting KAYTEE REINADO. Overraced in the early and middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, Jockey S Collett advised that her mount failed to settle in the early stages of the event and may not have appreciated the firm track surface. She added that in her opinion BADGERS NUTS (NZ) would be better suited racing on surfaces with greater give but would derive benefit from today’s run. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
