Improved onto heels approaching the 2000m and shifted out. Laid in under pressure rounding the home turn and bumped LUVYOUANYTIME. Laid in approaching the 300m and became unbalanced after bumping LUVYOULONGTIME. Rider J. Lloyd advised that the gelding felt awkward in its action on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to short striding in the off foreleg. Connections were advised a veterinary clearance would be require prior the gelding being permitted to race again. Trainer R. Heathcote advised the gelding would be sent for a spell.

Tired over the final 600m to be beaten a considerable distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying clinical signs of cardiac arrythmia. Connections were advised a veterinary clearance inclusive of an ECG report would be required prior to the gelding trialling to the satisfaction of stewards before being permitted to race again.
