When questioned regarding performance, jockey stated after being trapped wide in the early stages, she elected to press on to lead. She added the gelding overraced in the middle stages and weakened noticeably from the 500m, and after becoming concerned with it's action, elected to ease the mount down. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
