Raced wide throughout. Cast the off fore plate in running. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare, which tired badly over the concluding stages, revealed the horse to be exhibiting an upper respiratory noise. Trainer R. Carter advised that the mare will now be retired. Nevertheless, Stewards advised Mr. Carter the horse will require a veterinary clearance, including the results of an endoscopic examination, and must barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.
