Blundered rounding the home turn. Stewards questioned apprentice R. Goldsbury as to the reason for steadying her mount near the 800m to allow ALL OUR WIVES to cross after having maintained the lead from the start. Stewards accepted the explanation, however, advised apprentice Goldsbury that in similar circumstances she should be mindful of her positioning in races as the option she took at this point resulted in her mount being held up for clear running rounding the home turn when ALL OUR WIVES commenced to weaken.

Apprentice M. Nakao was dislodged on leaving the enclosure. The horse was recaptured a short distance later. Upon arrival at the barriers the horse underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Proved difficult to load. A warning was placed on the mare’s barrier manners. Jumped away awkwardly. Improved on to heels approaching the 400m and shifted out, taking FLYPAST wider on the track. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
