A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained an injury to its near fore tendon. Trainer C. Cousins was advised that the gelding will require a veterinary clearance prior to resuming racing.

Began awkwardly and lost ground. Overraced in the early stages. Following the race, trainer B. Johnson reported that the mare had bled from both nostrils, which was confirmed by the veterinary surgeon. Mr. Johnson was advised that the mare will be ineligible to race for 3 months and prior to resuming racing it must perform satisfactorily in a 1000m gallop in the presence of a Steward.
