Ran wide round near 1250m. Over-raced early. Bumped near 950m. Rdr said instructed to lead if possible-stated after beginning well & pressing forward, mare began to race erratically shifting very wide and proved difficult to settle-added that, after entering back straight, again allowed mount to stride in an attempt to clear inside runner, however did not have sufficient speed to cross & obliged to race outside leader, and tired in the run to w/post. Explanation noted. Post race vet exam revealed no abs.
