Rider questioned re tactics,resulting in gelding setting a strong tempo in lead - instructed to pressure out of barriers to take up forward position, had suffered interference early stages recent starts. Passing 1200m obliged to continue riding gelding in effort to clear HARADIFY, which resulted in him racing 1/2 L forward to the outside of CASTANITA. Allowed horse to stride forward to secure outright lead. Horse then overraced despite his efforts in middle stages. Stewards advised App should have made greater effort to remain outside of CASTANITA passing 1200m.
