Added passing 500m rode gelding along in an effort to maintain position but it failed to respond as expected and proved disappointing. Trainer noted gelding had gone 5 weeks since last start and may take a fitness benefit from today and should it prove disappointing at next start intention would be to spell. Vetted - slow post race recovery.
