When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, App. J Guthmann-Chester stated that in his opinion despite the gelding having won on a soft track at its only start, he was of the view that the gelding failed to handle today’s track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities at the time of examination.
