Questioned re tactcis - step up to 1800m. Instructions to lead if slow tempo otherwise settle in a handy position. In his opinion tempo was strong early and was reluctant to urge gelding to hold out another runner passing 1200m. Held up on back of tiring runners from 600m to 300m before securing clear running and finished off race well. Better suited over similar distance when able to dictated terms off a slow tempo
