Jockey J Oliver stated gelding under pressure for majority of event and despite being held up in the early stages of the home straight in his opinion was a beaten horse and therefore he elected not to ride it vigorously over the concluding stages. Stewards advised Jockey Oliver that at all times where permissible, he should ride his horses out so as not to leave his riding open to question. Vet exam - no abnormalities.
