Trainer questioned re improved performance as compared to most recent start - explained second start for stable today and raced flat last start when obliged to cover additional ground. Added improved in its fitness since that run and was aided with removal of winkers and addition of blinkers for todays run.

Rider's comments re disappointing performance - stated gelding couldn't muster early speed and when racing rear of field attempted to pressure the horse and commenced to hang out proving difficult to ride and was disappointing when placed under pressure in home straight. Vetted - no abnormalities. Stable undertook to report results of veterinary tests.
