When given the opportunity to comment on the performance of the gelding which was well supported, Jockey L Rolls stated that after beginning well it got back into a rearward position and when the pace slackened which he felt was detrimental to its chances the gelding was unable to sprint when the pace quickened approaching the 400m. He further added that the horse was first up from a spell today and would benefit from the run and appreciate a step-up in journey and may not have liked the firm surface of today’s event.
