Hung out when overracing during middle stages and as a consequence raced wide for majority. Trainer questioned re betting drift and performance -noted first up from lengthy spell and never performed well when first up from spell. Noted significantly up in class today however, races of a more appropriate class were programed over longer distances and preference was to have gelding commence campaign over shorter distances given lengthy spell. Explanation noted.
