When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance, Trainer B Ahrens stated that the gelding previously performed best when able to dictate terms. Mr Ahrens added that during its last preparation the gelding was troubled by hoof issues requiring the use of heart bar plates on occasion, however, the gelding had enjoyed a trouble free preparation leading in to today’s first up performance.
