Began awkwardly. After being caught wide early, was allowed to stride forward to obtain a position outside the leader passing the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils for the first time. The gelding will incur a mandatory three months ban from racing under the provisions of AR53A. Representative for Trainer E Press advised Stewards that it would now be their intention to retire the gelding.
