Near the 400m bumped by UNIQUE MAGIC which shifted out to improve. When questd, Jockey P Hammersley stated after beginning only fairly was obliged to pressure mare early in an attempt to obtain a forward position. After obtaining a position outside NOT SURPRISING passing the 800m, the mare failed to travel comfortably at any stage, was most disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in both fore legs. Trainer L Birchley will be advised that a veterinary clearance will be required prior to its next race start.
