When asked to explain the performance of the gelding today, Jockey Plumb explained that his instructions from Mr T Gollan were to afford the gelding clear room in the run as at its previous start when cluttered away, it proved disappointing. Jockey Plumb added that with a nice trailing position on the outside today, it afforded him clear running after passing the 500m which he attributes to the better performance.
