Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the below market performance, Jockey A. Allen stated that his instructions were to attempt to obtain a position with cover to allow the gelding to finish the race off. He added that after travelling well throughout with cover, the gelding was under pressure from the 600m and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early stages before improving forward to obtain a position outside the leader near the 1200m. Rider A. Fancourt reported at scale that her mount commenced to weaken from the 600m and failed to finish the race off. She added that in her opinion the mare would be better suited racing over shorter distances and also with a drop back in class.
