Slow to begin. When asked to explain the performance, Jockey G. Colless advised that the mare settled in a rearward position and never really travelled at any stage throughout the event. He added when placed under pressure approaching the home turn, failed to respond to his riding and in the home straight proved very disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
