Began awkwardly and shifted in. Passing the 800m when the pace had been steady for the majority of the event its rider elected to shift three wide to improve into the race and took up the lead passing the 600m and then weakened over the final 150m. Rider explained due to slow tempo and easy sectionals HOLBROOK was allowed to dictate felt best chance was to go forward at that point. Further explained mare’s run came to an end after passing the 200m. Stewards noted the explanation.
