Rider advised he felt the gelding was awkward in its action and therefore did not place the gelding under any real pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed the gelding was showing minor soreness and stepping short in both front legs. Veterinary clearance required before being permitted to race again.
