Overraced in the early stages. Held up round the home turn and for the entire home straight and went to the line without being fully tested. Approaching the 100m was disappointed for a run when another runner shifted in. Rider reported that he attempted to shift wider on the track approaching the home turn but was unable to do so without causing interference so elected to ride for luck, which did not eventuate.
