Rider questioned as to why his mount shifted away from the inside approaching the home turn. Rider felt that at that point in the race, whilst travelling fairly, that the section nearer to the fence was inferior, hence why he elected to shift wider to find better going. Rider added that he was very disappointed with the gelding’s overall performance.
