Overraced in the early stages. Finished at the rear of the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer T. Newing was advised that the results of an ECG must be produced and the horse must perform satisfactorily in an official trial prior to being permitted to race again.
