Presented in the mounting yard with winkers and not blinkers as advertised. Due to a clerical error when the gear change was enacted, the change showed winkers being removed when in fact the horse should have been racing in winkers and not blinkers on as advertised. Stewards acceded to a request from trainer J. Zielke to race the horse in winkers and a public announcement was made to this effect. Slow into stride. Had to be steadied approaching the 400m when awkwardly placed at the heels of JERROCITY.
