On return to scale jockey R. Fradd reported that the horse raced fresh today and overraced a touch in the early stages, and then failed to finish the race off. The stable representative for trainer Mr T. Gollan advised that the gelding would be better suited as it gets further into its preparation over distances further than todays event, and may appreciate a softer track and would improved with todays run. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
