Stewards opened an inquiry into the S. Lacy’s riding of the horse over the final 500m. After taking initial evidence from rider S. Lacy, the matter was adjourned to a time and date to be fixed to allow trainer and master Mr P. H. Duncan to be present. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
