Started at $3.40 and proved disappointing throughout. Jockey P. Hammersley was asked to comment regarding the horse’s poor performance. He explained that after initially jumping well and setting slightly further back than he had intended, the filly failed to respond to his riding and again near the 600m when placed under pressure did not respond to his urgings and proved disappointing. Trainer C. Meagher’s stable representative was advised that the filly would now need to trial to the stewards’ satisfaction prior to the resumption of racing.
