Passing the 900m laid in despite the efforts of its rider causing some tightening to runners to its inside. After being crossed by DERUMOR passing the 800m had to steady away from the heels of that runner shortly after.

Rider questioned re performance - explained obliged to ride forward after being caught wide early and probably had to do more work than he would have liked before obtaining a position outside the leader passing the 800m. Added from that point on travelled reasonable but shortly after straightening when placed under pressure failed to respond and proved disappointing over the concluding stages. Further added that as the gelding was first up from a spell today it would benefit from the run.
