Hung in despite the efforts of its rider passing the 900m, and crowded CAPTAIN DONOVAN. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer R. Hurley will report to Stewards should anything come to light in the coming days which may have had a bearing on its racing manners today. Mr. Hurley further advised that it is now his intention to send the horse for an immediate spell. Nevertheless, Mr. Hurley was advised that the gelding will be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next racing.
