When questioned regarding tactics adopted, jockey A Allen stated after being caught wide early and with his mount overracing, he elected to improve and reach the lead near the 1200m. He added however, that RAYARA refused to settle and continued to overrace and proved disappointing. Jockey Allen further added that RAYARA may not have handled the increase in distance which may have attributed to today’s disappointing performance.
