Jockey J Murphy was dislodged whilst returning to the enclosure following the event and broke through the inside running before being recaptured. A post-race veterinary examination revealed some abrasions to its legs. Jockey J Murphy was examined by QAS personnel and cleared of any injury

Rider J Byrne reported that the gelding hung out throughout the event and proved difficult to ride and was unable to be fully tested. Lost the off hind plate in running. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer D Forster advised Stewards that it would now be her intention to send the gelding for a spell. Stewards advised trainer D Forster that the gelding would be required to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to being permitted to start in a race.
