Eased out of the race passing the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering from cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer M J Dunn was advised TOPTIMISTIC would require a veterinary clearance, including the results of an ECG test, and must also trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.
