When quest re ride of gelding leaving 1000m, when restrained to obtain a rearward position with cover & further losing contact from remainder of field, Rdr stated rather than being caught wide, elected find cover, however when restraining to gain position, had erred in amount of restraint used, which resulted in gelding coming off bridle & losing more ground than anticipated. Stewards, in assessing matter, agreed Rdr had erred in amount of restraint used, resulting in gelding losing more ground than necessary, however given status, took no action-reminded of obligations
