Bumped by another runner on a number of occasions shortly after the start. Commenced to race keenly approaching the winning post on the first occasion and when being restrained veered out, forcing another runner wider, and took no competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer L. Gore was advised that the gelding would be required to perform satisfactorily in an official trial before being permitted to race again.
