Following the race Jockey reported that his mount travelled comfortably in the lead throughout, however when placed under pressure was disappointing. Trainer undertook to report back in the days subsequent.

When questioned regarding the performance Jockey said that his mount travelled well in a prominent position, however was under pressure approaching the home turn and was disappointing. Jockey added that in his opinion the mare does not run a strong 1560 metres. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding, which weakened noticeably in the straight, did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer said that in light of the poor performance the gelding will now be spelled and prior to racing again will be trialled.
