Had to be restrained shortly after jumping away to avoid the heels of KING KAI, which shifted in. When questioned regarding the performance, jockey N. Day stated that after receiving interference shortly after jumping away his mount overraced throughout the remainder of the event and when asked for an effort in the vicinity of the 400m failed to respond to his riding and went to the line in a disappointing manner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
