After being caught wide without cover in the early stages the horse was allowed to stride forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 900m. Failed to respond when placed under pressure after passing the 300m and weakened. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery. Trainer J. McConachy’s representative advised that the stable would report to stewards in ensuing days anything that comes to light which may have had an effect on the horse’s performance
