When the pace slackened passing the 900m was forced wider on the track until approaching the 700m. When asked to comment on the performance, apprentice A. Sewell indicated that after passing the 900m the gelding commenced to overrace and refused to settle and also had a tendency to lay out. He added that these factors, along with the horse failing to run out a strong 1400m, affected the overall performance. Trainer S.
