Jockey Cassidy was asked to comment on the performance of the horse. He indicated that after travelling well in a favourable position behind the lead, the horse did not let down as expected in the home straight. He felt this could be attributed to the horse having its second start this preparation and carrying 59.5 kilograms on a rain-affected track. He indicated that in the circumstances he was not entirely disappointed with the overall performance. A post race veterinary examination indicated that the horse had a slower than normal post-race recovery. A swab sample was taken.
