Raced 3 wide in the early stages before being allowed to stride forward to be positioned outside the leader near the 800m. Had to be eased near the 300m to avoid the heels of LUPO NERO, which shifted out when not sufficiently clear. T. Brooker, rider of LUPO NERO, was issued with a severe reprimand and advised to ensure she provides her fellow riders with greater clearance in future. T. Brooker was further cautioned for continuing to shift out, forcing TONI MAY wider on the track inside the 100m.
