The start of this race was delayed when the gelding required farrier attention. Trainer R. Lyford was reprimanded for presenting the gelding with unsatisfactory plating. Mr Lyford was advised that the nomination of the horse would be refused in the metropolitan/provincial area due to its poor performance.
