Stewards asked apprentice A. Sewell to comment on the horse’s performance. He indicated that he had been instructed to ride the horse in the second half of the field as the filly was having its first start over 1600m. He indicated that the horse began well and if not for the instructions he would have liked to position more forward, however he elected to take hold and settle at the tail of the field. He indicated that the horse finished the race off strongly. He further added that had he drawn an inside alley, the horse would have taken up a more forward position.

J. Taylor reported that his mount put in an awkward stride near the 600m and dipped and did not travel comfortably from that point onwards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
