Slow to begin. After being placed in restricted room approaching the 500m was steadied and laid in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey J. Byrne advised that his mount travelled well until asked for a response leaving the 600m and he felt the horse was disappointing from that point onwards when uncomfortable racing between runners and laid in in the home straight. He indicated that he felt the horse was looking for races over further distances and would take improvement from todays event. A post race veterinary failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
