Stewards asked jockey D. Browne to comment on the performance, which was below market expectations. He indicated that he was extremely disappointed with the performance after having travelled in a favourable position behind the lead throughout the event and travelled strongly after passing the 600m, the horse failed to respond to his riding after passing the 500m and weakened badly in the home straight.
