Slow to begin. Jockey J. Morris, rider of MASSIVE ATTACK, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that leaving the 1000m he did direct his mount inwards when not sufficiently clear of SILVER SCREEN, forcing that horse to be taken in on to REJUVENATE, causing REJUVENATE to make contact with the running rail and its rider having to check severely at this stage. Jockey Morris was suspended from riding in races for a period of 12 days, to commence at midnight, 28 January and to expire at midnight, 9 February. Held up for clear running from the 400m until approaching the 200m.
