Overraced in the lead in the early and middle stages before weakening in the home straight. Jockey B. Grylls reported to stewards she was disappointed in the performance and felt that the horse overracing, had a bearing on the overall performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be striding short in both forelegs and bilaterally sore in both front feet. Trainer Mr Chris Meagher was advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided for the horse prior to its next race start.
